Make sure you have app notifications enabled for Element/SchildiChat so you receive notifications when people reply to you, mention you, or mention one of your keywords. If you do happen to want passive (silent/non-vibrating) notifications for all messages, then ignore the above step and keep "Group messages" enabled. Some people prefer this.
It's in the "Notifications" section of settings with everything else above.
Unless you happen to prefer message bubbles. Most people prefer a more modern style.
